I felt compelled to make this today.
Road trip memories. 2007.
We woke at dawn after a cramped nite sleeping in our car. The rain was so heavy we were worried a flash flood would sweep our car right over the canyon’s edge. One of us slept in the driver’s seat in hopes that we could awaken fast enough to drive out of harm’s way. It probably wouldn’t have worked, but it gave us enough peace of mind to half-sleep thru the nite.
Our dinner the nite before was the most delicious kind of dinner - Carlo Rossi chianti and mom’s homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Despite the morning cold and the muscle cramps, it’s hard to argue against a view like this first thing in the morning.
