Perfectly said. My dog, Hobbes, is 13 years old now, and though he is at times a whiny pain in the ass, he is still one of the best things to happen to me in my life.
I think all of us long for a true “Hobbes” in our lives.
Some of us are lucky enough to have had him.
The first dog I ever owned was Rottweiler I named Hobbes. He was my best friend. I used to get extremely irritated when dumbasses would ask, and they would always ask, “where’s Calvin?”, as if they had made a clever joke. I was Calvin you assholes.
